Call for tenders for a study linked to stockpiling of vaccines

The purpose of this contract is the provision of a study:

  1. exploring the feasibility of and identifying options for physical stockpiling of vaccines; and
  2. developing a concept for a mechanism for exchanging vaccine supplies from one EU Member State to another in case of an outbreak.

Call for tenders for Provision of Options and Recommendations for an EU Citizens' Vaccination Card

  • The purpose of this contract is to examine the feasibility of developing a common vaccination card for EU citizens. Based on a mapping of existing vaccination cards (work package 1), the contractor shall develop, test and evaluate proposals for an EU citizens' vaccination card that takes into account potentially different national vaccination schedules; that is interoperable with EU Member States' Immunisation information systems (IIS); and that is common to all EU Member States and usable across borders (work package 2).

Rare disease registries for the European Reference Networks

Background and purpose of the call:

  • The proposed action aims to support the development of rare disease (RD) registries for the European Reference Networks (ERNs).
  • Patient registries and databases constitute key instruments to develop clinical research in the field of rare diseases, to improve patient care and healthcare planning. They are the best way of pooling data to achieve a sufficient sample size for epidemiological and/or clinical research. Registries serve as a recruitment tool for the launch of studies focusing on disease etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis or therapy.

Stakeholder actions to implement the EU guidelines on prudent use of antimicrobials in human health

Background and purpose of the call:

  • The proposed action should consider activities focused on the implementation of the EU guidelines on the prudent use of antimicrobials in human health, which were published by the Commission in June 2017[1]. These Guidelines aim to support a variety of key stakeholders and public health authorities in Member States in reducing unnecessary antibiotic use and combatting AMR. While the Guidelines have been well received further action is needed to facilitate and encourage stakeholders to take them forward and implement them.
