Intersectoral coordinating mechanism against antibiotic resistance

Antibiotic resistance is a complex challenge that requires coordinating across many sectors: human and animal health, food production, the environment, research, trade, and international relations.

The Swedish government has appointed to the Public Health Agency of Sweden (PHAS) and the Swedish Board of Agriculture to chair an intersectoral coordinating mechanism that brings together representatives from national authorities and organisations. More information on the Intersectoral coordinating mechanism against antibiotic resistance, including Sweden's One Health National Action Plan, is available on the Swedish website of PHAS.
