Fees for the reporting of ingredients in tobacco products

Here, will manufacturers and importers of tobacco products find information about fees for the reporting of ingredients and emissions.

Reporting of ingredients and emissions that generates fees

We charge fees for the reporting of ingredients and emissions in tobacco products as well as the annual reporting. The tobacco products manufacturer or importer shall submit this information to us via the EU Common Entry Gate, EU-CEG.

Manufacturers or importers that report tobacco products must pay a fee for each brand and type:

  • The first time a tobacco product is submitted to Sweden.
  • When a tobacco product is relaunched on the Swedish market after it has been withdrawn from this market.
  • When a substantial modification is submitted, which modifies the composition of a reported product in a way that affects the previously provided information.
  • At the time of the annual reporting of the Swedish sales volume, market surveys, studies, etc.

Level of the fees

The fee for the first time a tobacco product is submitted to Sweden, relaunched on the Swedish market or when a substantial modification is submitted is:

  • SEK 21,200 for cigarettes,
  • SEK 17,200 for roll-your-own tobacco,
  • SEK 13,200 for tobacco for oral use,
  • SEK 13,600 for tobacco products that are not cigarettes, roll-your-own tobacco and tobacco for oral use.

The fee for the annual reporting is:

  • SEK 23,000 for cigarettes,
  • SEK 21,500 for roll-your-own tobacco,
  • SEK 900 for tobacco for oral use,
  • SEK 2,700 for tobacco products that are not cigarettes, roll-your-own tobacco and tobacco for oral use.

How to pay the fees

We will send you a payment instruction for the submissions that generates a fee. This payment instruction will state how much you shall pay and to which account the payment shall be made. The payment shall be made within 30 days from the day the payment instruction was issued.

It is important that the submitter details in EU-CEG is complete and accurate, such as e-mail address and postal address. We will use this information in our communication with you.
