Transitional rules
From 21 May 2020, all cigarettes and roll-your-own tobacco sold shall bear traceability marking and security features.
Other tobacco products are subject to the traceability and security features rules from 20 May 2024. Tobacco products (other than cigarettes and roll-your-own tobacco) produced in the Union or imported to the Union before May 20 2024 may be sold until May 2026, without traceability marking and security features.
