In-person ERZV consortium meeting, Paris 21 May 2025
A collaborative meeting where ERVZ consortium partners come together to coordinate and align activities.
The goal is to enhance support for the laboratory network connected to ERZV by sharing updates, promoting collaboration, and ensuring consistency across ongoing aktivities.
The EURL-PH-ERZV consortium held its first face-to-face meeting at the Institut Pasteur in Paris. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration and developing strategies to support the network in the field of emerging, rodent-borne, and zoonotic viral pathogens.
Key topics included technical presentations on relevant viruses and diagnostic methods, along with upcoming training initiatives and twinning programs aimed at building network capacity. The group also discussed approaches to External Quality Assurance (EQA) to ensure consistent, high-level performance across member laboratories.
The consortium explored strategies to improve communication and coordination within the network and initiated planning for the first laboratory network meeting, which will take place in Stockholm on 13–14 November 2025.
This meeting marked a significant step forward in advancing EU-wide collaboration and preparedness for emerging health threats, reinforcing a shared commitment to safeguarding public health across Europe.
