Expert meeting in Brussels on screen use and health

Experts from the Nordic countries and the rest of Europe will gather in Brussels on June 3 to discuss the way forward regarding screeen use related to health among children and adolescents. The conference will be broadcast digitally and can be followed by anyone interested.

The expert meeting in Brussels is organised on behalf of the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, within the framework of Sweden's presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers. The agenda includes, among other things, what is being done at national and international level in terms of recommendations and regulations on screen use, and what are the most current issues. What can and should be done internationally to achieve safe and balanced screen use? An important part is also to influence tech companies to change the design of commercial digital media.

Experts, researchers and policy makers will participate.

– Sweden and the Public Health Agency are at the forefront of the field and there is great interest in hearing about our work. This is a good opportunity to highlight at an international level what has been done and is being done to protect and strengthen the health and rights of children and young people when it comes to sceen use, says Olivia Wigzell, Director General.

The expert meeting will be broadcast live so that all interested parties can take part in it.

The link will be published on the Public Health Agency of Sweden's website and can be followed via Youtube.
