This report describes the monitoring and surveillance systems for influenza in use during the 2024–2025 winter season and the results of both epidemiological and virological surveillance. Smoking is unevenly distributed in the population, and there are significant differences between various groups based on education, income, and employment. The use of nicotine pouches and e-cigarettes is increasing among the population and is most common among individuals aged 16–29 years.

The use of nicotine products, such as nicotine pouches and e-cigarettes, has increased among adolescents.

Cannabis is the most common narcotic drug in Sweden. In the age group 16–84 years 3.5 percent of men and 1.6 percent of women have used cannabis over the past 12 months in 2024.

Most children and adults in Sweden report their health as good, but many also report recurring mental and somatic health problems such as headaches, feeling low and sleeping difficulties.
