This report describes the monitoring systems for influenza in use during the winter season of 2019–2020 and the results of both epidemiological and virological surveillance. Data are also compared to previous influenza seasons. The report has been prepared for the World Health Organization (WHO) as part of the Public Health Agency of Sweden's function as a National Influenza Centre (NIC).
