Launch of SPHIRHA 2026 in Malawi
Launch of SPHIRHA – Strengthening Public Health Institutional Capacity for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)
Content
SPHIRHA is a four-year regional initiative led by the Public Health Agency of Sweden (PHAS) and funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency
Launch of the SPHIRHA program in Malawi brings together public health institutes and ministries from Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe and the Africa CDC to strengthen capacity for knowledge translation with specific focus on leadership, coordination, data analysis, communication and evidence synthesis. Through collaboration, peer learning and knowledge exchange, the initiative supports inclusive governance, evidence-based policy and decision-making, data-driven practice, and regional exchange among public health institutions. Together, we aim to build stronger institutions and contribute to healthier and more equal societies in Southern Africa.
