Ebola and Marburg: Monitoring of returnees from affected areas Guidance – version 4

The guidance describes how monitoring should be conducted for individuals returning from areas with active cases of viral haemorrhagic fevers, such as Ebola and Marburg. The aim is to provide a national recommendation for uniform treatment of this group.

The guidance is primarily intended for employers of returning workers, such as the Swedish Civil Defence and Resilience Agency (MCF), the Swedish Red Cross, and Médecins Sans Frontières (Sweden). It is also aimed at healthcare providers and infectious disease control physicians. It can also be applied when following up on other travelers with a corresponding risk of exposure.
