Launch of SPHIRHA
– Strengthening Public Health Institutional Capacity for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)
SPHIRHA is a four-year regional initiative led by the Public Health Agency of Sweden (PHAS) and funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
Launch of the SPHIRHA program
The launch marks the formal introduction of the SPHIRHA initiative in Namibia and celebrates
the ongoing collaboration between the Namibia Ministry of Health and Social Services and the
Public Health Agency of Sweden.
SPHIRHA brings together public health institutes and ministries from Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Zimbabwe and the Africa CDC to strengthen institutional capacity for leadership, coordination, data analysis, communication and promotion of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
Through collaboration, peer learning and knowledge exchange, the initiative supports inclusive governance, evidence-based policy and decision-making, data-driven practice, and regional exchange among public health institutions.
Together, we aim to build stronger institutions and contribute to healthier and more equal societies.
Target group
SPHIRHA partners, stakeholders working in public health, health promotion and SRHR
