Sedan den 15 december 2023 har 76 sjukdomsfall av cryptosporidiuminfektion smittade i Sverige. Sjukdomsfallen har rapporterats från 14 regioner, flest från Halland och Jönköping. Typning av 16 prover från utbrottsperioden visade att 13 tillhör samma typ av Cryptosporidium spp. vilket tyder på att
