Antibiotika räddar liv och är en förutsättning för människors och djurs hälsa och för vår moderna sjukvård. I Sverige diplomeras nu verksamheter runt om i landet som en del av intitiativet Antibiotikasmart Sverige.

Samverkansgruppen arbetar för ett systematiskt arbete för att förebygga vårdrelaterade infektioner och smittspridning inom vård och omsorg. Gruppen består av representanter från externa aktörer samt medarbetare från Folkhälsomyndigheten.

Mätningar av vårdrelaterade infektioner och riskfaktorer är en viktig del av arbetet med vårdhygien. De ger också stöd till beslutsfattare och sjukvården för utvecklings- och förbättringsarbeten. Det finns olika metoder och mätningar i Sverige.
